In 2018, our co-founder Ryan Frampton was leading a sales team at Vidyard. Between hiring, coaching, and managing, he saw firsthand how much time was wasted on manual tasks: interview notes, messy ATS updates, endless submittals.
He teamed up with longtime friend and co-founder Jordan Malfara, who had faced the same pain while leading development at CoinSquare. Together, they set out to solve the problem with AI tools for recruitment that actually worked the way recruiters needed them to.
The idea was simple: automation in recruitment should make life easier, not harder. Quil was born to be the recruiter’s sidekick—an assistant that handles the admin while humans handle the relationships.
